Housekeeping

I have been at home for the past two weeks, but time's running out now. It's been two weeks of being responsible for my own dinners, cleaning up, doing dishes, watering the house plants, and while it has surprised myself, I've even made my bed most of the days.

While some of this seems like work, I've enjoyed having breakie in my PJs, being able to light a few candles at night, chatting to my neighbours, meeting up with friends, having people call by and get started on my Christmas shopping. I feel refreshed and energised. I feel ready for the airport.

I have a suitcase to pack today. I haven't picked which suitcase yet, as I'll need to bring a lot of stuff. I'm off to Denver, CO first. Seems to be pretty warm there, so I'll need summer clothes. Once I finish the job there, I'll make my way to Anchorage, AK where I'll spend the next week. There'll be a few days off in Anchorage before work begins, so I've been looking at trip options and definitely need my hiking boots and some outdoor gear.

End of today I'll be ready. Right now it's coffee time!

Back on the road again, eh? Well, at least it's two nice cities you're going to.

Oh, and that's AK, not KA. Heh, heh! I think your fingers got tangled.

Watch out for the bears in Alaska and take lots of photos. Safe travels :-)
