Ms Platinum

I had one of those dreaded red-eye flights booked for yesterday morning, so the alarm woke me at 4:30am. Everything was timed to take the least possible time, and even the expected 25 minute nap was in the plans. Those plans changed when two football supporters were seated next to me in row two.

The rest of the day went according to plan. Coffee kept me awake, and I had grand dinner plans, so what did I care!

The job finished at 4:30pm, and after a 15 minute walk I was ready to check in to my hotel. The queue... my oh my! But again, not a bother, I passed them all and placed myself by the "priority check-in" sign. Nothing. Nobody.

I addressed one of the check-in guys to inquire about the priority check-in and was told this was for Gold and Platinum members only. Should he have asked if maybe I happened to be one of them? Well, he didn't, so I told him. He still didn't move but eventually said he'd have to look that up.

He obviously found the details, and you'd have thought an apology would have been in order...

Hmmmmm... Somebody's job training was obviously inadequate!
